
Anna Prytherch
Head of Rural Health and Care Wales
Anna is Head of Rural Health and Care Wales (RHCW), a collaboration between 3 rural healthboards (BCUHB, PTHB and HDdUHB), having commenced in post at the beginning of February 2017. Anna is a business post-graduate (BScEcon; MBA) and accredited Project Manager (PRINCE2) with over 30 years’ senior managerial experience in private, public and third sector organisations across Wales. Over the last eight years, Anna has developed the work of RHCW, addressing health and care inequalities facing those living in rural areas, with a growing research portfolio on the sector. She has led on the provision of an annual international Rural Health and Care Conference, now in its 9th year, and regularly delivers presentations on rural life, its challenges and opportunities. A fluent Welsh speaker, Anna was born and grew up in rural Mid Wales, being passionate about the area and its diverse and unique natural environment, heritage and culture.
