Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2026

As we start a month dedicated to raising awareness of the UK's biggest cancer killer, we're also focused on driving the action needed to improve outcomes for patients across the UK.

This month, the UKLCC will continue to champion our key priorities, including ensuring momentum of lung cancer screening in England and implementation across Wales, Scotland and NI; tackling inequalities; improving treatment pathways; and ensuring that every person affected by lung cancer in the UK has access to best possible treatments, care and services.

A major focus of the month will be two high-level regional meetings bringing together leading clinicians, policymakers, patient advocates and healthcare stakeholders to shape future action:

These meetings will provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing lung cancer services, share best practice, and develop a clear roadmap for future policy and service improvements.

As Lung Cancer Awareness Month gets underway, we look forward to working with partners across the UK to turn ambition into action and ensure lung cancer remains a national priority.
