 UKLCC Parliamentary Activity Update

Following the successful Parliamentary launch of the United Kingdom Lung Cancer Coalition (UKLCC) in November 2005, the UKLCC has been actively working to raise the profile of lung cancer and bring the UK’s biggest cancer killer from out of the political shadow.

As well as supporting the ban on smoking in public places (successfully achieved in February 2006 for implementation from Summer 2007), the UKLCC has been recruiting Members of Parliament from across the political spectrum to help to raise the profile of lung cancer in Parliament and ensure a better deal for lung cancer patients.
